Zelda!

So I've finally decided to get started on the Zelda portion of my Mission101 list. I've acquired almost all of the Zelda games in some form or another, and I'm ready to start defeating them. For those of you not versed in the world of Zelda, here is the full list:

* The Legend of Zelda (I own it as a GBA game)
* Zelda II: The Adventure of Link (I will get this on Wii's Virtual Console)
* The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (I own it as a GBA game)
* The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (I've actually already beaten this one multiple times)
* The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (I own this as a Gamecube game. Still stuck at the stupid forest temple.)
* The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (I'll be buying this on Virtual Console)
* The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons (GBC)
* The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages (GBC)
* The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (Gamecube, I'm actually really close to beating it too)
* The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap (GBA)
* The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Gamecube, started but never finished...)
* The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (DS, probably about halfway through)
* The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks (I will be buying this on release day, naturally)
* The Legend of Zelda (Holy cow, guys, have you seen the concept art for this? It is win.)

And no, I'm not including the 4 Swords games, because I'm only one player. And I think this list is long enough. Can I beat all of these (except the new Wii one) by February 2010? Maybe. I'm going to try. And I'm going to make much use of Zeldapedia if I need to (Stupid Forest Temple), to get me finished. I bet most of them I won't need it much, though.

So if y'all don't hear from me for a few days, it's because I got The Sims 3 yesterday and... yeah. It's pretty excellent. I would tell you all about the shiny new interface and how cool the mood stuff is now and how much fun it is to zoom between Sims in town and in their house and how handy it is to just send a Sim to the store while making the other one shower or something and all of that... but half of you probably don't care, half of you have already played it and thus know, and half of you will just be jealous because you WANT to play it but haven't yet. So I'll spare you.

It's crazy fun though.

Oh and this- I'm kind of surprised by how much I like it. For a long time, I wasn't even sure if I would ever get it, and then when I did decide to get it, I wasn't really expecting huge amounts of goodness. I guess I expected it to be a pain to have to deal with the town so much, and I thought that taking the focus off juggling needs would defeat the purpose of the game. But, thankfully, I was wrong, and it's totally awesome to deal with the town, and easing up the needs makes it more fun to play the Sims' lives. So hooray for that! Now to wait for the inevitable expansion packs so I can have seasons again.

I just got home from Dave & Busters, and oh man, I am such a sucker. It is shameful how much I spent on playing stupid games. But it was so much fun! There were flashing lights and fun noises when you win and I had so many tickets and calling that place "Chuck E Cheese for grownups" is 112% correct. I played about a zillion games of Plinko, and other coin-pusher games. I am definitely a sucker for those, but Plinko was the best because I also had to try to light up the letters so I could spin the prize wheel. I got at least... 700 tickets just from spinning that wheel, plus tickets out the wazoo from pushing coins over the ledge and oh man it's addicting.

Anyways. Yes. Good times.

Also, my feet hurt now.

TOMORROW NIGHT IS THE FAINT. Ohhhhhh I cannot wait.

I really don't have anything else useful to say. I should go to bed but I don't want to. Bah.

Today is a good day.

Animal Crossing: City Folk came out, and I obtained it this morning. It is wonderful. It is pretty and delightful and [insert string of happy adjectives here]. And the Wii Speak that comes bundled with it is FUN. I may or may not have spent 7.5 hours playing this game today. I paid off my first house, though, so tomorrow I should have a bigger one! Yay!

My Friend code, should anyone want to come visit, is 3523-5531-0013 and I'm Jesso in Habble. I'm still not sure where my town name came from. This is what happens when I have to make decisions under pressure.

ALSO! I finally downloaded Tetris Party from the WiiWare store. Love it. Want to play online! My friend code on there is 4339-5975-6303.

I didn't write a single word today, but I'm ahead, so I'm okay with that. I'm really glad I did such a hardcore first weekend.

Man, I've not posted a thing since Thursday. I feel like I need to post, so I will recap my weekend.

Headache, podiobook, Juno, books, cooking, Mario Kart, Rock Band, Animal Crossing, and Battlestar Galactica )

Anyways. Bedtime. Possibly after a little Mario Kart.

HI. I can't breathe! It is amazing. THANKS, SPRING.

XKCD is wonderful today.

I am so very glad it is Friday.

I want.

Professor Layton and the Curious Village is a wonderful game. Right up my alley. I am having lots of fun with it. The only puzzle I've not solved so far is the slidey puzzle thing (You know, the picture is broken up into square, and you have to slide to squares around to make the picture? I suck at those). Some of them I've been really proud of myself for solving. Like I said, right up my alley.

Tesla was sitting here at my feet, looking up at me, contemplating jumping up on my lap. Then I sneezed, and she bolted to the bathroom. She peeked out at me, then walked back over like nothing had happened, tail primly in the air. Now she is sitting on my desk giving me the "pet me now" eye. My cat provides me with endless amusement.

THINGS TO DO:
Clean kitchen
Clean off junk table
Clean litter box
Take out trash
Cook something for lunches this week (fried rice + pineapple + meat?)

I am not allowed to play the Sims until I get stuff done. That Free Time expansion pack is evil in it's time-warping abilities.

Also at some point I need to sit down and figure out Drupal and how to make it work for JoyToyKid.org. I want to have it all switched over by May 27, for the release of the new JE album (which looks completely awesome). It is scary, though. I know I can do it, but it's a big task. Yeep!

Also also, I need to listen to the rest of Hell and Earth so I can start WASTELAND. Apparently all the episodes of Wasteland are up now! Podiobooks says it's complete, anyways, and it's 11 episodes which is about right. OMG. ALSO. JESS. LET ME KNOW WHEN YOU GET TO EPISODE NINE OF HELL. IT IS AMAZING AND FULL OF OMG. Don't listen to that one at work. TRUST ME.

Right. Now for lunch. Or breakfast. Whatever.

I voted in the Texas primary today! I have never voted in a primary before, it was very exciting. Mostly because I wasn't sure if I'd be able to, given that I don't have my new voter registration card yet (I'd not gotten around to doing that), but also because it was something new.

In other news, I got another "DETHRONED" email from Audiosurf, so I'm going to be obsessively playing "South Carolina" until I have the high score again. Jerks.

Edit: "TinyCarlJung" just got a Dethroned email. S/he beat my last high score by 7k points- I beat his by 13k. HA.
