Stuff and things and stuff
Today I went out to Palmer and had lunch at this little Italian place for my mom's birthday. I got her a copy of Picross for her birthday (and by "got" I mean "traded in three of my lesser-played games for") and wrapped it in mylar from a mylar balloon. I, uh, didn't have any wrapping paper that wasn't Christmas-ey, and the balloon was a polka-dotted fish, so it worked. It was shiney, and that's all that matters, right? Right.
Anyways, lunch was delicious, and I ended up bringing home my leftover, plus mom and dad's leftovers. I had chicken balsamic, dad had veal parmesan, and mom had tortellini alfredo with canadian bacon in it. What I am saying here is that I am going to get very fat this week.
I also brought home several bags of things my parents wanted out of their pantry/fridge/freezer. I had to tell my dad to stop pulling out elk meat because I only have a tiny freezer. I now have ground elk, venison steaks, elk steaks, turkey tenders, a couple kinds of sausage, beef tamales, and various pre-packaged chicken things. That's just in my freezer! I also got bread, buns, crutons, jello, corn crackers, butterscotch pudding (mmmmmm), leftover fried pickles (gone now), tomato soup, potato soup, canned chicken, shake-n-bake, rice mix, and this weird Brazilian gelatin stuff with instructions in Portuguese.
So, uh, I'm not going to starve anytime soon.
I should be doing laundry. Obviously, I am not. On my way home from church, I got hit by the sleepy bug SO HARD. I am probably going to hit the hay pretty soon. I hope the kids by the pool shut up soon.
