Hello!

Hello!

I am in my new apartment!

I really want a Sierra Mist, or even a Sprite.

Man, moving is a lot of work!

Thursday, I signed my lease and got my keys. Megan came over (on her birthday! I LOVE YOU MEGAN) to help me move boxes, and we filled both of our cars with boxes. All of my books and shelf stuff. Books are very heavy!

Friday my dad met me at my apartment and we loaded up his truck with more boxes, with all my kitchen stuff and pretty much everything else except my bed, desk, and couch. And my old TV and cleaning supplies. Then we went to La Madeline for dinner and mmmmmmmmmm caesar salad.

Saturday I went to Petsmart to get Tesla a new box and food and stuff. They didn't have the magical spiral litter box I wanted, so I just got her a cheap regular one as a temporary measure until they had the magical ones back in stock. Then Megan and Dad came over and we moved the couch.

EXCITING FACT: It is impossible to get a couch into my apartment through the front door. The couch came in over the porch wall. I'll show you pictures later, but for now just trust me when I say that it was interesting. Actually, a lot of stuff came in through the porch. It's closer to the parking lot.

Anyways, Megan went home because her allergies were attacking, and dad and I moved the bed and my desk and whatever else needed to be moved. By this point, Tesla was very concerned. Every time she got locked into the bathroom, there was more of her stuff missing when she came out! But I gave her lots of cuddles and she was okay.

So then pretty much everything was in my new apartment, except laundry and cleaning supplies, so I went to the old place and cleaned like a madwoman. Eventually my aunt showed up with a dresser and two tables for me (one of the tables is actually for a lady at work) and hooray dresser! I have a dresser :D

Then it was time to go to the Magic Time Machine for Megan's birthday shindig, so I went back to my new apartment and said "OMG BOXES". I opened them all up, and right before we left I set off a bug bomb to kill any stowaways.

While my apartment was filling with poisonous gases, we went to The Magic Time Machine and Cinderella served us Magic Potions and delicious food. I love that Magic Potion. I got the blue one, of course.

OH MAN GUYS JASMINE WAS THERE. I may or may not have fangirled. *ahem*

Also there: Shaggy, Joe Dirt, Alice, Dorothy, the Spartan Cheerleaders, GI Joe, Wonder Woman, a silent ninja (he drew a portrait of Megan on Jess' to-go box. It was a toilet. I approve of him), Harry Potter, Tinkerbell, Super Girl, Lilo, Robin Hood, Napoleon Dynamite, and the Paparazzi.

So we went back home, and my apartment was no longer filled with poison. I opened the door and turned on fans for a few minutes to be sure, then I shut everything and went to rescue Tesla. Oh, she was wigged out. She did not like the drive over here. I brought her in, and her tail poofed. She explored everything, though, and when she saw I wasn't leaving her here she calmed down. I think she likes it better here, already. She has more windows, and they are facing south so she gets lots of sunny spots.

Today I unpacked some, and finished cleaning out my old place. They couldn't come over to do a walk-through (SURPRISE! The lady wasn't there!) so I took LOTS of pictures, and video. Things work! I might post the video on youtube. It's very boring. "Look, these are the blinds, they work. Here's a toilet! It flushes, see? Look, empty cabinets!" and so on. I turned in my keys after that. I realized after I left that I forgot to pay my reletting fee. The guy in the office who took my keys was too busy gossiping with his friend to, yanno, pay any attention to me anyways, so it's probably better that they bill me for it. So I am DONE with the craptastic apartments! It is pretty exciting.

Oh! Oh my goodness, guys, I have to tell you about my new neighbors. They are all so NICE. The guy in the apartment across from mine introduced himself Thursday night. His name is James, and he told me that if I ever need any help with my car, if if I just want a beer, I could knock on his door. Apparently he spends a lot of time out on his porch, and he sort of keeps an eye on things to make sure no cars are being robbed or anything. He has a friend named Nathan, and he's super nice too, and he lives upstairs from me with James' sister. And there is a guy by Jess whose name I can't remember, but he helped me and my aunt unload the dresser from her truck. We were standing there eyeing it, and he just came over and offered his help. Hooray nice neighbors! Also, my dad pointed out that, in driving through this complex, he hadn't seen a single custom rim on any of the cars. So hooray for a lack of those ugly cars with too much bass!

My only complaint so far is that the thermostat is very stubborn. As in, I can't move one of the switches at all. I've figured out a way to get it to warm up in here (I turn the fan from Auto to On, and it blows hot air until I turn it off), but it's rather unwieldy.

I need one more day off to unpack. I'm on the downhill slide, at least. I know where things are going to go, I just need to do it. I came home from giving my old place my keys, and ate food then pretty much crashed. I'm pooped.
