STUFF

GUYS. I know I've already told you to go read [livejournal.com profile] xlormp, but really for real you need to. Today's chapter is hilarious and almost had me shooting alfredo out my nose. I'm glad I didn't, because that would have been uncomfortable and would have had my coworkers giving me funny looks.

ANYWAYS.

Also, I have started working on my [livejournal.com profile] craft_olympics project. I finally got the correct needles last night, so I started knitting a swatch in the round this morning at break and I'll probably cast on For Realz tonight. Socks! I am going to knit socks! I was looking at the pattern, though, and man the heel looks scary. I've never turned a heel before! It will be a fun adventure.

THE HEEL IS THE BEST PART.

Seriously. I utilized the heel-turning technique in making the Xlormp doll. TRUEFAX.

Fear not, you can TOTALLY make socks. You have the knitting "chops", if you will.

The amazing part is that I RECOGNIZED the heelish part in Xlormp. Without ever having knit one.

I know I can do it, but it LOOKS scary on the pattern. Also I'm always nervous doing something new, because I'm so sure I'll find a way to screw it up. That's what makes it such an adventure.

I promise you with 100% certainty that socks are nothing but fun and awesome. :)

I loved the sock knitting and the heel was one of my favorite parts. It looked scary but when I did it I was so proud. Now when I look at a project that does the same thing I get excited and think I can do this!
