Man, I've not posted a thing since Thursday. I feel like I need to post, so I will recap my weekend.
Friday, man oh man, I got a headache. I got another one of those that made light seem really really bright. It didn't hurt so bad as last time, but it felt really ridiculously good to sit at my desk with my hands over my eyes. As soon as I got home from work, I laid down on my bed and pulled the blanket over my eyes and slept till about 9:30. Then I woke up and had dinner and stuff, and played games on Facebook while listening to a podiobook.
Saturday was more of the same. I finished my podiobook. "Forever Fifteen", about a girl who was turned into a vampire at the age of fifteen during the black plague. It was a pretty good story, and I liked the characters and stuff, but I really could have done with less description of the more adult scenes. But I guess that's part of any vampire story. I don't usually do vampire stories, I don't know why this one caught my attention, but there ya go.
At some point in the day I watched Juno, since Jess so kindly lent it to me. Loooooove love love. I think I'm going to have to buy this for myself. I needs to be in my DVD collection. Or I could add it to my amazon wishlist since my birthday IS coming up. Hmmm.
I also rearranged my bookshelf and got rid of some of the books I knew I'd never read. I already don't remember what half of them were. I got $6.50 for the big stack (most of them were outdated reference books) so I got lunch at Panda Express. Mmmmmmm orange chicken. The rice sucked, though. For dinner I made a ground beef + pineapple + teriyaki concoction, and it was yummy. I discovered I did not have rice to make with it, so I put it on pasta. I need to get rice.
Today I slept way in, then got up, showered, went to Gamestop to get Mario Kart, then got home to a message from
gutterballjen (aka gutterbajillion aka Jeni) that the opera we were planning to attend started at 2:30. By this time, it was about 1:45. Oops. So instead Jeni invited me over to play Mario Kart with her and Mike, and after I had lunch I went and YAY.
Mario Kart is fun. The wheel that comes with it is alright, but I found I really really really liked the remote-nunchuck combo. And once I got Yoshi on a motorbike, I stomped Mike. STOMP.
Then we played Rock Band, because they discovered that I have never played that or Guitar Hero. I played bass and didn't suck! I sucked at drums though. It required entirely too much coordination, which I do not have at all. So I went back to bass and we played until my wrist started hurting. It was fun, and not as scary as I expected! I kiiiiiind of want Guitar Hero for my own now.
Then Mike started playing some other lame game and Jeni and I played Animal Crossing until my DS battery died. We traded fruit and I helped her de-weed her town. She hadn't played in 6 months, so there were tons of weeds and even a strange plant I'd only ever heard of before. I forget what it's called but you can't get rid of it, and it only goes away after you clean up your town well enough. That was interesting.
Then I came home and watched Battlestar Galactica. Episodes 6 & 7 of season 2- they made my heart happy.
And now I'm posting. I feel talky. I should go to bed, but I want to play Mario Kart, and read my new books, and play Animal Crossing, and watch my Netflix movies I have waiting, and and and. I don't want to work week to start.
And I have to do laundry tomorrow. Tesla is having hairball issues, and my last three clean shirts suffered for it. I guess perhaps in the future I should fold them and put them in the dresser instead of just laying them all out flat on my bed. Bah.
Anyways. Bedtime. Possibly after a little Mario Kart.
