Here is where I write stuff

Okay, so I've been listening to Muse a LOT lately, especially The Resistance. And you know, Muse is pretty ridiculous, in a good way. They are over the top and dramatic and just full of YEAH, and that's what makes them wonderful. Well, that and their incredible talent, that is.

And listening to this ridiculous music made me want to do something ridiculous.

I just found the coolest thing ever on my head.

I found a hair that is 1/3 gray!

It's the middle 1/3 that is gray!

The end is brown, and the bit near the root is brown, but the middle 1/3 is white and coarse. I'm willing to bet that it's from all the stress from the beginning of the year. The length of brown near the root is roughly equal to the length my hair has grown since I decided to grow it back out, so it works. And dang if December/January/February wasn't one of the most stressful times of my life, both in work and emotions.

SO. Now my list of "Stress Symptoms" include nausea and a single hair temporarily turning gray.

This amuses me far more than it should.

OH OH OH. I should have my mom put it in my baby book. "BABY'S FIRST GRAY HAIR". It will go in the back of the book, right after "BABY'S FIRST LIFE CRISIS" and before "BABY'S FIRST CASKET".

Maaaaaannnnnn I missed pigtails. My hair is getting longer! YAY.

I am updating from Panther City Coffee to say that my hair is down today and someone told me as I was walking in from the parking lot that my hair looked like it was from a commercial.

That is the second time in my life I've been told this.

I rarely dream, and when I do I almost never dream in color... so when I dream about dyeing my hair blue, you know it's overdue.

TO DO (THIS WEEK?):

• Get hair trimmed so the fried, dead ends are gone


• While still at salon-place, get hair re-bleached the way I like


• Purchase hair dye


• DYE HAIR WOOOOOO

It has been a YEAR since I've dyed my hair.

Also, let it be known that I am NEVER KNITTING A BLANKET AGAIN. I do not have the patience for such things. Oy.

It's done!

Also, I went over to Megan's house and made her eat falafels and hummus. She liked the falafels but didn't like the hummus. Then we had Strawberry Shortcake with semi-frozen cool whip. It was very tasty. Now I am very very full. Lugh.

I'm sitting here, with my hair stylishly up in two sloppy ponytails. At least, some of my hair is up in two sloppy ponytails. The rest is down and covered in bleach. It's exciting. I look like a complete moron.

Guess what I'm using to judge if it's done or not. Go on, guess.

My shirt. I wear the same shirt every time I bleach ma hair for just this reason. I dropped a glob o' bleach on ma shoulder and I'm watching that spot lighten. It's really quite entertaining. Not as entertaining as it would be for you to watch me try to rinse this mess out in the bathtub, but you don't get to see that. It's frighteningly ungraceful.

Then I'm going to play with dyes! Woot! I don't actually know what color it's going to end up, I'm kind of curious.

I think I'm going to go take a picture of my hair up like this. It's pretty funny looking.

In other news, my cat started retching again this morning but he didn't throw up! Yay!

In other other news, still updating through Linux. The compy won't even start otherwise. I think this is it's death crash. I'm going to (ever-so-slowly) burn my stuff onto CDs this time, to make extra sure I don't lose anything. I've already got most of my stuff on mine, but there's still a buncha MP3 and whatnot on here that I don't wanna lose. Last night I burned one, and it took a good hour, going at about 1x. This computer's RAM is so SHOT, it's crazy.

- Get hair cut again (I really don't like this cut, she did it terribly)
- Bleach/dye hair
- Make robot
- Burn CD
- Laundry
- Win lottery so purchase of 5 of everything on merch tables is possible
- Find that falafel place on Collins

In other news, Tuesday is just FIVE DAYS AWAY.

I'm kind of extremely excited.

I want to bleach it white (not platinum blonde, but snow white (or for my fellow Texans, paper white)), and for a while I didn't know which bits I wanted to bleach.

Well, I've had an idea. The underneath bits. The way it's layered, and the way I usually flip the underneath bits out (it's easier than trying to get it to curl under, I think, and I can do that while it's still wet... I'm so lazy), I think it would look pretty interesting. I wanna basically put my hair up in a ponytail and pull out everything below a certain line, and make that white, and prolly do the tips from the front bit, too.

What do you guys think?

When it's really really late at night and I'm online I tend to play with my hair. I run my fingers through it again and again and again, without thinking.

Before, I would end up with (I kid you not) a pile o' hair, cause I shed like an insane shedding thing.

I'm looking down now and *wow*, no pile o' hair!

I'm impressed, and I love this haircut!
