Okay, so I've been listening to Muse a LOT lately, especially The Resistance. And you know, Muse is pretty ridiculous, in a good way. They are over the top and dramatic and just full of YEAH, and that's what makes them wonderful. Well, that and their incredible talent, that is.
And listening to this ridiculous music made me want to do something ridiculous.
So I did.

GUYS, I HAVE RED HAIR. AND BANGS.
Bangs are that on which the world hangs, you know. And now I have them. On my head.
Reasons it is ridiculous:
1) I have not had bangs since I was a kid. I thought I hated bangs. It's possible that I might still hate them.
2) Red. What. I would have never pictured myself dying my hair red. Darker brown? Maybe. But red? Huh.
3) I made both changes at once, kind of spur of the moment.
4) I have had the same basic hair style since... forever. Long and straight and tied back, or short and straight until it's long enough to be tied back.
I love it though. It's exactly what I wanted. I took pictures of Sun from Lost as my reference, because I love how her bangs looked in that episode and how they looked really great for a lazy person like myself.
As for the red, yeah, that was pretty impulsive. I decided to go for reddish brown and the gal hit it.
Oh! And the gal who did it? Was an Ogle student. $23 for the cut and color. Winnnnn. And she was
really nice, too, so I'll be seeing her for trims and such. Arlington peeps, go to Ogle and ask for Elizabeth, she was awesome. I just wish I'd known ahead of time that they can only take cash or checks for tips, and can't add it to the debit card transaction. I had no cash to give her :(
But anyways. Yes. I have bangs! And red hair! I'm still kind of in shock.

Date: 2010-04-15 03:50 am (UTC)From:When I go get my hair done again I was thinking of going back to a fiery red. Right now mine is a dark red brown which I love, but the husband really digs it bright. I might throw him a bone since it's his birthday soon. LOL

Have fun rocking your new hair!
