Jun. 21st, 2007 10:40 pmSO. Icy Hot? Earns its name! I've got an Icy Hot patch on my shoulder right now and it both burns AND freezes! AMAZING. Go science!
Why do I have an Icy Hot patch on my shoulder? Because the dull, burning pain started making my arm hurt, and I figured that was probably a Bad Thing. I mean, my shoulder has been bothering me for about a week now, maybe longer, but it just keeps getting worse, and I do not like that. The HR lady at work brought me a whole pack of Icy Hot patches, and I just put on my second one.
I think my problem is a combination of really bad posture (I hunch over things a lot, and the easiest way to pop my back is to sit up really straight) and side-sleeping. I've noticed that it's really started bothering me since I've started doing a lot of packing lists at work, and that I have especially bad posture when I work on those. I'm trying to fix that, but dang, it's a hard thing to change, because I never pay attention. I just go to town with my highlighters, yanno? Also I want to get a new pillow that the HR lady told me about, that she uses. Apparently she picked it up on the cheap at Walgreens, so I'm thinking I could swing that after I babysit Saturday. Apparently, it's all contoured for side-sleepers, and it's got a swanky cutout for your shoulder, so you don't hunch up all funny, like I do.
I think maybe I need some sort of brace thingy what would force me to sit up straight and not slouch my shoulders all the time. I mean, it doesn't help that I already have a slight hump at the base of my neck (thanks, dad!), but the rounded shoulders really just make the hunchback look come together. Too bad it's a couple centuries out of date. *le sigh*
I SMELL LIKE AN ACHY OLD MAN RIGHT NOW. It's minty and menthol-ey and totally awesome. Admit it, you're jealous.
