jesso: (I'm a Pepper!)
ATTENTION LOCAL PEEPS.

This Sunday (or maybe this Saturday) I will be going down to Stephenville to pick up a TON of Dublin Dr Peppers for my mom's store (by the way, my mom owns a store now, did I ever mention that?). If any of y'all want any, give me MONIES and I will get you some.

I called the WalMart and they said that cans are $1.98 for 12 and bottles are $3.48 for 6. However, the more I think about it, the more I think maybe they misquoted me on the cans... they might be $1.98 for 6, since they come in 6-packs. I should maybe call them back again.

LET ME KNOW.

You know, you always hear about women who use shopping as therapy. Having a crappy day? Go buy 10 pairs of nifty shoes!

Man, I fail at this "being a girl" thing so hard.

I really, really, really want a new video game. I want to go game-shopping. I mean, I've already got a pair of shoes, but there are so many games I don't have!

So I was looking at Wikipedia's list of DS games, and I found this. CHIBI-ROBO. FOR THE DS. And it comes out in October, the same time as Phantom Hourglass. I think October will be when I use up the rest of my vacation time. Oh yes.

But in the meantime, I want a game NOW. Tomorrow is paycheck day... I can't wait. I just don't know what I want. I think I want Kirby: Squeak Squad. If it's half as good as Canvas Curse, it'll be awesome. I think I also want to get Super Mario Brother 3 on GBA. I looooooooooove SMB3. World five? Rocks my socks right off.

What would you guys get? Let me live vicariously through you!

I read this book, or at least part of it, many years ago. When I was a kid, I used to wander around the library and just pick random books to read. I read lots of interesting books, and I won't deny that I read a few things that perhaps a kid should not have read. But the children's section of the library was filled with "boring" books. So, I wandered the "grown-up" section.

This particular book was about a group of people who were doing some sort of experiment. I don't remember what the point of it was, really, but basically they made up a person. They gave him a name, put him in the Civil War (I think), and basically made up an entire life for this person. Then, members of this group started dying. The one scene that sticks in my mind is when a guy from the group dies by crashing into a highway support thingy. He's just driving along, and witnesses say he went straight for the support thingy, like he was aiming for it... but other members of the group figure out that's not what happened. They remember the highway going straight through where the support thingy was, where now it curves at just that spot. The idea was that this person they had created had somehow become real, and either he or his ghost was really, really mad at this group of people. So he started killing them off in various ways, like altering the plans of the highway before it was built so that it curved instead of going straight. It was kind of bizarre, but that particular scene came to mind today and now I wanna find this book.

Any ideas?
