Ow.

I fell asleep flat on my back last night, and today my back is stiff and the muscles are all like "whaaaaaaaoooooaaaa" and oh geez my neck. My neck muscles don't hurt, exactly, but they are threatening. I can feel it if I move my head certain ways, the muscles say "Hey, watch it lady, another millimeter and we'll make you SUFFER the rest of the day" in a loud, menacing chorus.

I want a giant heating pad for my whole back. Oh, that sounds so lovely. I wonder if anyone has one. HR lady is over here, I'll have to ask her.

Be proud! I called the dentist and left a message so I could make an appointment to get some of my cavities filled. I figure I'll do the two biggies first, and start paying those off, and then think about the four small guys.

Ok, off to find a heating pad.

edit: Victory! I found TWO heating pads, plus Icy-Hot patches. I've got Icy-Hot on my neck, and the big heating pad on my back, and oh it is wonderful.

Stupid kids

I've said it before, and I'll say it again... one of these days, there is going to be a horrible murder at the pool outside my apartment, and no one will pay attention. Because we are so used to hearing kids screaming at all hours.

I mean, seriously, I can understand shouting, but these girls are shrieking. Simultaneously. Loud, high-pitched shrieks. Is getting tagged "it" really that horrifying that you have to shriek? Or did they just build a roller coaster out there while I wasn't watching?

Part of me wants to go shake my cane at them, but then I remember that I don't have a cane, and also that my back still hurts so really all I want to do is lay down and sleep. I think I'll do that now.
