I am currently on hold for the last stage of ordering INTERNETS

SCRATCH THAT. I HAVE ORDERED INTERNETS.

Thursday my apartment will have a phone line, and a couple days after that I will get my modem and be able to set up INTERNETS in my APARTMENT.

I cannot wait. I am already anticipating having itunes and all my podcasts and playing Tetris and Animal Crossing with the INTERNETS and oh man oh man oh man AIM.

I can't wait to have AIM back.

One thing, though. See my only phone jack in my apartment is in my kitchen. On the opposite side of the apartment from my computer. I mean, granted, that still isn't that far away, as I live in a miniature apartment, but still. I have to figure out how to make that work. I'm thinking cables stranded across my ceiling will work nicely, except I have to figure out how I can get them up there.

(That will be interesting, what with my paralyzing fear of heights and all, and my lack of stepladder or stable non-broken chairs)

AUGH I AM IMPATIENT AND WANT MY INTERNETS NOW.

I really should have waited like a month for this, and saved monies, because of all those wonderful charges you always incur upon setting up a new account with anything, but man. Impatient and spineless do not a good combination make. BUT WHATEVER. I have gotten very very good at living on $20 a week for food. I can continue it a bit longer for the sake of INTERNETS.
