So I have this tendency to obsess over bands. Like, I'll listen to one band exclusively for a while, then suddenly go "OMG [this other band] IS AWESOME" and listen to that band exclusively for a while. It's just a thing I do. It makes it a lot of fun when I suddenly remember that a really good band exists, and I start listening to it again and go "oh man, how did I forget how awesome this band is???"
So lately I've been obsessing over the following bands:
Let me tell you guys, shuffling through a playlist of these bands is... interesting. And I LOVE it.
And I think I've found the common thread, the one thing these fours bands have in common. Musically, they are pretty vastly different. The first three have guys singers who sings kinda high, but then there's little miss Louise who sings lower than all three of them. Lyrically, we've got spiderbites and superman, hugging friends, OMG ANGST, and dancing. Not a whole lot in common... except adorableness.
Yes, I know that is not a real word. Hush.
Illustrious Louise was so freaking cute on stage! I loved her. So was the Fine China guy in Foxglove Hunt. The Muse guy has this tiny adorable face. And I've never seen the Flaming Lips guy, but I think that The Spiderbite Song and Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots are enough evidence of his adorableness to count.
So, uh, yeah. What's up with y'all?
