Seriously, cooking is the best stress-relief ever. I love doing it, and when I'm done I have delicious food to eat!
I just made (and ate) elk tenders with caramelized balsamic vinegar, and friend green tomato. What a combination, huh? But it was really good, and I was able to do it all in my only skillet. And the elk tenders were REALLY tender and delicious. They actually started as a hunk of elk, until I sliced it up into little strips. In a skillet with olive oil until they stopped bleeding (I don't think I've ever cooked such bloody meat, seriously), then out on a plate. Then I threw in the green tomato slices, cooked them through, and put them on another plate. Then, with the pan full of delicious drippings from elk AND tomato, I added the balsamic vinegar, heated it till it caramelized, and poured it over the elk.
DEEEEEEEEEEElicious.
Now I am far too full for comfort, but oh so content. For my next trick, I will clean my kitchen, start my dishwasher, and watch the fifth Harry Potter movie.
