So I love love love PaperbackSwap.com very much right now. I've already received one George MacDonald book, I have four more on the way, and I just requested another two. Seven new George MacDonald books for my collection, in just over a week. Wonderful! I'll have the ten required for my Mission 101 list in no time. Then it's just to read them. Oh darn, I have to read George MacDonald.

Also, I have half an inch of Rogue. Tonight is a productive night indeed. Tomorrow I'm stopping by Hobby Lobby for Size 8 DPNs and black acrylic for my Secret Project of Doom, then Best Buy for my Digital TV Converter Box Thingy Do-Bob, then [SUPER SECRET SURPRISE PURCHASE HERE], then groceries. Including cat food. I've told my cats to ration what's in their bowl, because that's all there is until I bring home more tomorrow. They just gave me looks that indicated they would be rolling their eyes at me if they knew how.

Finally, because I am lazy, click here and pretend I posted my Project 365 pictures here in this post, behind a lovely cut. Some of the pictures are better than others, but I try to give each one a short paragraph telling the story behind the picture. And yanno, that would be *work* to reproduce here, and we can't have any of that nonsense.

Project 365

So I just made the snap decision that I'm going to do Project365. I saw a couple people doing it last year, but never thought I wanted to do it myself. Then I saw that [livejournal.com profile] niobedancing is doing it, and I realized that it's the start of a new year and now it the perfect time to do it, if I'm ever gonna. So, in the spirit of "eh, why not?" I'm jumping on the bandwagon. Wheee!

And here is my picture for day one:
2009-01-01
My laundry basket. Oh, how I hate it. Mostly, I hate it when it is full. Right now I kind of don't mind it, because it is empty save for the socks I wore today and a washcloth I forgot to grab when I went to do laundry. Now I can happily avoid the laundry room for a couple of weeks, until the stupid basket is full again.

The fine print: I probably won't be posting a picture every single day, so don't worry about that. I'll probably just throw them on Flickr and either make weekly-ish posts behind nice cuts, or I'll only post the pictures I find particularly interesting.

Wait. Holy crap. It's 2009 isn't it? It just hit me. Changing the year always wigs me out, not because of the usual "it's a whole new year everything is going to be different/better/whatever!", but because I have to get used to thinking about it being a different number. My mind gets so used to the year being one number, and then suddenly it changes. Or something like that. My brain, it is an odd place to be sometimes.
